Wisanu Subsompon () is a Thai academic and politician, currently serving as a Deputy Governor of Bangkok. Prior to his appointment, Wisanu was Vice President for Property and Physical Management a Chulalongkorn University and an associate professor of civil engineering. Typhoon Noru, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Karding, was an intense and destructive tropical cyclone that affected Indochina and the Philippines in late September 2022 — where it caused widespread agricultural damage.
