Wireless Session Protocol (WSP) is an open standard - web site for maintaining high level session. Wireless session that starts when the user connects to one URL and ends when the user leaves that URL. The session wide properties are defined once at the beginning of the session, which has the benefit of saving bandwidth due to the nature of wireless communication. In the seven-layer OSI model of computer networking, the session layer is layer 5. The session layer provides the mechanism for opening, closing and managing a session between end-user application processes, i.e., a semi-permanent dialogue. Communication sessions consist of requests and responses that occur between applications.
