Wink (duo)
was a Japanese idol duo in the late 1980s and early-to-mid-1990s composed of and . They released their first single on April 27, 1988, and their final release was on March 31, 1996. Many of their singles topped the Oricon charts in Japan, including their biggest hit, "Samishii Nettaigyo". History In 1987, Sachiko Suzuki and Shoko Aida both entered a beauty contest given by the magazine ''Up to Boy''. Suzuki won 7th place and Aida won 9th place. The following year, Suzuki and Aida were chosen to form the duo. On April 27, 1988, they debuted with the single "Sugar Baby Love", a cover of an English song by The Rubettes. The single topped at #20 on the Oricon Chart, and was chosen as the theme song of the Fuji Television, Fuji TV drama ''Netsuppoi no!'' (熱っぽいの!, ''I'm Feverish!''), which starred Yoko Minamino and Shizuka Kudo. Shoko Aida
is a Japanese singer and actress. She was a member of the J-pop duo Wink (duo), Wink, after which she became a solo artist. Career She debuted as a member of the J-pop duo Wink (duo), Wink. She began working as a solo artist on 1 April 1996, one month after Wink dissolved. She collaborated with Kaori Iida from Morning Musume for one DVD and one photobook in 2004. is a Japanese actress and former idol singer. She is regarded as one of Japan's top actresses, and her accolades include six Japan Academy Film Prizes and three Kinema Junpo Awards. , more commonly known simply as ''Kōhaku'', is an annual New Year's Eve television special produced by Japanese public broadcaster NHK. It is broadcast live simultaneously on television and radio, nationally and internationally by the NHK network and by some overseas (mainly cable) broadcasters who buy the program. The show ends shortly before midnight. Before the show began broadcasting on television in late 1953, the show was held on 3 January and only consisted of a radio broadcast. The program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. Moulin Rouge (named after the French cabaret) is a Slovenian popular music group consisting of vocalist Alenka Šmid-Čena and songwriter, keyboardist, and producer Matjaž Kosi. Profile Keyboardist Matjaž Kosi founded Moulin Rouge after leaving Slovenian (then Yugoslav) synthpop band Videosex in 1985.
