Winfried Berkemeier (born 22 January 1953) is a former Germany, German Association football, footballer. This midfielder and forward played six seasons in the Bundesliga for four teams. Though he was unable to break through with 1. FC Köln, he played with Tennis Borussia Berlin and through the whole of his first season only missed one game. Berkemeier had little luck, however, since with four of the teams he joined, they were to immediately be demoted from the 1. Bundesliga, amongst these occasions being in 1977 with Tennis Borussia Berlin, in 1979 with 1. FC Nürnberg and in 1981 with FC Schalke 04. Berkemeier then moved to Switzerland and played for BSC Young Boys, Young Boys and then for FC Basel, Basel before he became a manager in 1984. Winfried Michel (born 1948 in Fulda) is a German recorder player, composer, and editor of music. Michel studied with Ingetraud Drescher, Nikolaus Delius, and Frans Brüggen. He is lecturer for the recorder at the Staatliche Hochschule Münster and at the Musikakademie Kassel. In addition to compositions published under his own name, he has written numerous pieces in the style of the early 18th century under the pseudonym Giovanni Paolo Simonetti. In 1993 he succeeded in convincing noted Haydn scholar H. C. Robbins Landon and the pianist/scholars Paul and Eva Badura-Skoda that six piano sonatas he had composed were long-lost works by Joseph Haydn. Based on the opening few bars of six lost Haydn works, found in an old thematic index, these sonatas were published in 1995 as works by Haydn, "supplemented and edited by Winfried Michel." Saint Boniface
Boniface, OSB (born Wynfreth; 675 –5 June 754) was an English Benedictines, Benedictine monk and leading figure in the Anglo-Saxon mission to the Germanic parts of Francia during the eighth century. He organised significant foundations of the Catholic Church in Germany, church in Germany and was made Elector of Mainz, Archbishop of Mainz by Pope Gregory III. He was martyred in Frisia in 754, along with 52 others, and his remains were returned to Fulda, where they rest in a sarcophagus which remains a site of Christian pilgrimage. After leaving school, Zillig studied law and music. One of his teachers there was Hermann Zilcher. In Vienna he was a private pupil of Arnold Schoenberg, later following him to Berlin. Winfried Wiencek (2 January 1949 – 10 January 2025) was a deaf sports official and German deaf table tennis player. Since 2003 he was General Secretary of the German Deaf Sports Association.
