Wilson Nyabong Ijang
Wilson Nyabong Ijang (born 2 January 1959) is a Malaysian politician. He is the member of Sarawak State Legislative Assembly for Pelagus constituency in Sarawak, Malaysia since 2016 representing Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), then was part of Barisan Nasional (BN) and now Sarawak Parties Alliance (GPS). Following the fall of BN in the 2018 General Election and in the aftermath of meeting between all Sarawak-based BN coalition parties including PRS on 12 June 2018, had decided to leave the coalition to form a new Sarawak-based coalition of GPS. He was first elected after winning a majority at DUN Pelagus in the 11th Sarawak State Election 2016. He is now in his second term after winning a majority in the 12th Sarawak State Election 2021. The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. The Most Esteemed Order of the Defender of the Realm ( ms, Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara) is a Malaysian federal award presented for meritorious service to the country. The Sarawak Native People's Party ( ms, Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak Baru), legally known as Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (abbreviated PBDS) is a registered centre-right political party based in Sarawak, Malaysia. It was relatively new when its registration just approved by the Registrar of Society (RoS) on 28 August 2013. PBDS Baru was to contest 5 Dayak-majority seats in the 2016 Sarawak state election. PBDS Baru ahead of the 2018 general election had chosen the pig character as its mascot in which the animal has a deep meaning in the Dayak custom and symbolises the unity of the various Dayak tribes in Sarawak. The party only accepts members from the Dayak ethnicity. 2021 Sarawak State Election
The 2021 Sarawak state election, formally the 12th Sarawak general election, took place on 18 December 2021. This election was to elect 82 members of the 19th Sarawak State Legislative Assembly. The previous assembly was dissolved on 3 November 2021. As the previous assembly first sat on 7 June 2016, it was originally set to be dissolved automatically on 7 June 2021. However, the 2021 state emergency declaration, preceded by a federal 2021 Malaysian state of emergency declaration nationwide, arising from the 2020–21 political crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, suspended the automatic dissolution of the legislature until the proposed end of the emergency duration on 2 February 2022. An independent or non-partisan politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. Democratic Action Party
The Democratic Action Party ( abbreviation: DAP; ms, Parti Tindakan Demokratik; ; ta, ஜனநாயக செயல் கட்சி) is a centre-left social democratic political party in Malaysia. As one of four component parties of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition, it formed the federal government after defeating Barisan Nasional in the 2018 Malaysian general election, ending the party's 53 year-long stay in the opposition.
