Willy Sommers
Willy Sommers (born Willy Jeanne Jean De Gieter in Uccle, Belgium on 9 August 1952) is a Flanders, Flemish singer and television presenter. He sings Schlager music and is described as an "unsophisticated crooner". His hits include "Zeven Anjers Zeven Rozen" (meaning ''Seven Carnations, Seven Roses''), a hit in Dutch_language, Dutch in 1971 which, translated as "Siete rosas, Siete besos" (meaning ''Seven Roses, Seven Kisses''), spent 34 weeks in the Spanish Top 50. Sommers had a relationship in the 1970s with singer :nl:Truus (zangeres), Truus (real name Gertrudis Vereecken). Crooner
A crooner is a singer who performs with a smooth, intimate style that originated in the 1920s. The crooning style was made possible by better microphones that picked up quieter sounds and a wider range of frequencies, allowing the singer to access a greater dynamic range and exploit the proximity effect. This suggestion of intimacy was supposedly wildly attractive to women, especially a youth subculture known at the time as " bobby soxers". ''Undercover'' is a Belgian-Dutch Dutch-language crime drama television series starring Tom Waes, Anna Drijver and Frank Lammers. The plot revolves around a story inspired by real-life events, where undercover agents infiltrate a drug kingpin's operation in Limburg, a Flemish province bordering the Netherlands. The infiltration is executed by two agents, Bob Lemmens ( Tom Waes) and Kim de Rooij (Anna Drijver), who are posing as a couple at the campground where the drug kingpin spends his weekends. It is a co-production between Netflix and public Belgium TV station Eén, and was ordered direct-to-series.
