Willie Peters
Willie Peters (born 1 March 1979) is an Australian professional rugby league coach who is the head coach of the Hull Kingston Rovers in the Betfred Super League and a former professional rugby league footballer. Peters played in the 1990s and 2000s for the South Sydney Rabbitohs as a . He had also previously played for the St George Illawarra Dragons as well as in England for Gateshead, Widnes and Wigan. Background Willie Peters was born in Sydney, Australia. Playing career While playing for Souths in the 1990s, coach Craig Coleman declared that Peters could be the next Peter Sterling. In 1999, Peters joined Gateshead before joining Wigan in 2000. Peters played for the Wigan Warriors at scrum half back in their 2000 Super League Grand Final loss against St Helens R.F.C. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. The team colours are maroon and white, while their namesake and logo is the sea eagle. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). The club debuted in the 1947 New South Wales Rugby Football League season and currently host the majority of their home games from Brookvale Oval in Brookvale, while training at the New South Wales Academy of Sport in Narrabeen. The club has competed in either the NSWRL, ARL, or NRL competitions in all respective seasons from 1947 until 1999. At the end of 1999 they entered into a joint venture with the North Sydney Bears to form the Northern Eagles, which Rugby League statisticians regard as a separate club. Super League XXVII, known as the Betfred Super League XXVII for sponsorship reasons, was the 27th season of the Super League and 128th season of rugby league in Great Britain. The season commenced on 10 February 2022 ended with the Grand Final on 24 September 2022. St Helens were the reigning champions going into Super League XXVII, after successfully retaining their title, beating Catalans Dragons in the 2021 Grand Final. For the first time in Super League, there were two French teams in the competition, as Toulouse Olympique were promoted from the Championship, by beating Featherstone Rovers in the 2021 Million Pound Game.
