Willie Davis (wide Receiver)
Willie Clark Davis (born October 10, 1967) is an American former professional football wide receiver who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston/Tennessee Oilers. Since rejoining the Chiefs organization as a scout in 2006, Davis was promoted to the position of 'Senior Personnel Executive' in the 2021 NFL offseason. He has won three Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs. The 1997 NFL season was the 78th regular season of the National Football League (NFL). The Oilers relocated from Houston, Texas to Nashville, Tennessee. The newly renamed Tennessee Oilers played their home games during this season at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee while construction of a new stadium in Nashville started. The 1996 Houston Oilers season was the 37th season overall and 27th with the National Football League (NFL) and their final season in Houston. The team bested their previous season's output of 7–9, but failed to qualify for the playoffs for the third consecutive season. The Oilers only won two out of their eight games at home.
