William Yaw Obeng
William Yaw Obeng (born April 14, 1983) is a former American football offensive lineman of the Arena Football League. He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at San Jose State Spartans football, San Jose State. Obeng was also a member of the Oakland Raiders, San Jose SaberCats and Arizona Rattlers. Before San Jose State, Obeng attended Mesabi Range Community and Technical College. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line (OL), while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line (DL). A number of National Football League (NFL) rules specifically address restrictions and requirements for the offensive line, whose job is to help protect the quarterback from getting sacked for a loss or fumbling.
