William Reed (born April 1, 1970) is a former United States, American Sprint (runner), sprinter. After a heralded prep career at Central High School (Philadelphia), Central High School in Philadelphia, Reed endeavored upon a prosperous career in hospitality. He holds world best for his age group in the 300m at U15 and U16 levels with 34.58 and 33.19 seconds indoor respectively. William Maxwell Reed (January 12, 1871 in Bath, Maine – September 1962) was a pioneering U.S. author of illustrated science books for children. After schooling at Harvard, he taught astronomy at Harvard and Princeton University. Reed later went into the steel industry. Beginning as a series of letters to his nephew, his first book, ''The Earth for Sam'', was published in 1929. The book remains popular and was republished in 2005. Billy Reed (footballer)
William George Reed (25 January 1928 – January 2003) was a Welsh professional footballer who made nearly 300 appearances in the Football League and represented his country at schoolboy, amateur and senior level. Reed played twice for the Wales amateur team while still a teenager. He turned professional with Cardiff City in 1947, but did not make his Football League debut until the following year with Brighton & Hove Albion. After five years and 132 appearances in all competitions, Reed signed for Ipswich Town. In four and a half seasons with Ipswich, he scored 46 goals from 169 matches, won Third Division South titles in 1953–54 and 1956–57, and became the first Ipswich player to be capped for his country at senior level when he played twice for Wales in 1954. William Ernest Reed (born May 25, 1954) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted in the fourth round, 72nd overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 1974 NHL Entry Draft.
