William H. Fitzpatrick
William H. Fitzpatrick (September 28, 1865 – January 7, 1932) was a Democratic Party official in upstate New York. Biography William H. Fitzpatrick was born on September 28, 1865, in the family home at Bailey Avenue and Seneca Street in Buffalo, New York. He was educated locally, and worked at a variety of occupations, including driving a milk truck. He later became active in the contracting business, and operated a successful construction company, Buffalo's W. H. Fitzpatrick & Sons. Fitzpatrick also became active in politics as a support of Democratic candidates. He was the longtime Chairman of the Erie County Democratic Committee, a member of the New York State Democratic Committee, and a Delegate to several state and national Democratic conventions. He was seen as an ally of other urban Democratic leaders in New York, including Charles F. Murphy of New York City's Tammany Hall. Charles Francis Murphy
Charles Francis "Silent Charlie" Murphy (June 20, 1858 – April 25, 1924), also known as Boss Murphy, was an American political figure. He was also the longest-serving head of New York City's Tammany Hall, a position he served from 1902 to 1924. Murphy was responsible for transforming Tammany Hall's image from one of corruption to respectability as well as extending Tammany Hall's political influence to the national level. Hotel Pennsylvania
The Hotel Pennsylvania was a hotel at 401 Seventh Avenue (15 Penn Plaza) in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, across from Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden. Opened in 1919, it was once the largest hotel in the world. It remained the city's fourth-largest until it closed permanently on April 1, 2020.
