The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team in Eastlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, that plays in the Midwest League as the High-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. Kyle Alexander Dowdy (born February 3, 1993) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers and Cincinnati Reds. Amateur career Dowdy graduated from Francis Parker School in San Diego, California, in 2011. Undrafted out of high school in the 2011 MLB draft, he enrolled at the University of Hawaii where he played college baseball for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.
