Willem Hendrik Somermeyer (19 April 1919 – 30 May 1982) was a Dutch economist, Professor in Econometrics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, and member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences,Jan Tinbergen (1983)Levensbericht W.H. Alexander Rinnooy Kan
Alexander Hendrik George Rinnooy Kan (born 5 October 1949) is a Dutch politician, businessman and mathematician who served as Chairman of the Social and Economic Council from 2006 to 2012. A member of the Democrats 66 (D66) party, he was a member of the Senate from 2015 to 2019 and is a distinguished professor of Economics and Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam since 1 September 2012. He has also been president of the supervisory board of EYE Film Institute Netherlands since 2008 and of Museum Boerhaave since 2018. The name traces back to Plato's school of philosophy, founded approximately 385 BC at Akademia, a sanctuary of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and skill, north of Athens, Greece. Teun Kloek
Teunis (Teun) Kloek (born 1934) is a Dutch economist and Emeritus Professor of Econometrics at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. His research interests centered on econometric methods and their applications, especially nonparametric and robust methods in econometrics. Biography Kloek received his PhD in 1966 from the Erasmus University Rotterdam for the thesis "Indexcijfers : enige methodologische aspecten" (Index : some methodological aspects) under supervision of Henri Theil. Kloek was appointed Professor of Econometrics at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam in 1967. With Alexander Rinnooy Kan and later Harm Bart, he was co-director of the Econometric Institute from 1982 to 1992 as successor of Willem Somermeyer and was succeeded by Ton Vorst. Jan Sandee
Jan Sandee (9 December 1919 in Rotterdam – 21 July 2011 in Boskoop) was a Dutch economist, consultant and Professor of Econometrics at the Netherlands School of Economics, Rotterdam, who headed the Econometric Institute from 1966 to 1971. Sandee received his Engineering degree and was associated with the Statistics Netherlands late 1940s. In the 1950s he moved to the Dutch Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. He was Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1963, and in 1965 was appointed Professor of Econometrics at the Netherlands School of Economics. In 1965 Sandee was elected fellow of the Econometric Society. From 1966 until 1971 he also was director of the Econometric Institute after Henri Theil, and succeeded by Willem Somermeyer.
