Willamette Pass () is a mountain pass crossing the crest of the Cascade Range in Oregon, United States. It is less commonly known as Willamette Summit. The pass is traversed by Oregon Route 58 and by Union Pacific's (ex- Southern Pacific) Cascade Subdivision, which provides rail access between Portland, Oregon, and California. Willamette Pass Resort
Willamette Pass Resort is a ski area in the western United States, located at Willamette Pass in west central Oregon, in Klamath and Lane counties. In the Cascade Range between Oakridge and La Pine and accessed by Highway 58, it operates on federal land under special use permit on the Willamette and Deschutes National Forests. Founded in 1941, the ski area has been locally-owned and operated by the Wiper family of Eugene since 1982, the year its first chairlift was installed. The ''Coast Starlight'' is a passenger train operated by Amtrak on the West Coast of the United States between Seattle and Los Angeles via Portland and the San Francisco Bay Area. Cascade Subdivision
The Pengra Pass rail route, also known as the Natron Cutoff, the Cascade Subdivision, or the Cascade Line, is a Union Pacific Railroad line (originally a Southern Pacific Railroad line) connecting Eugene, Oregon, with Klamath Falls, Oregon. Construction of the line began in 1905 and was completed in the mid-1920s. Its name denotes a mountain pass on the Lane County– Klamath County boundary in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon, about from Willamette Pass. The line heads southeast from Eugene, up the Cascades and over Pengra Pass, then southward beside U.S. Route 97 to Klamath Falls, where it splits in two, each track continuing into California.
