Will Zellers
William Zellers (born April 4, 2006) is an American ice hockey forward who is currently committed to play college ice hockey for the University of North Dakota of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was drafted 76th overall in the third round of the 2024 NHL entry draft by the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is currently a prospect for the Boston Bruins after his rights were traded during the 2025 NHL trade deadline. Playing career Amateur Zellers committed to play college ice hockey at Boston University in 2023, however, he later reopened his recruitment and committed to University of North Dakota starting in the 2025-26 season. 2025 NHL Entry Draft
The 2025 NHL entry draft will be the 63rd entry draft for the National Hockey League. The draft is expected to be held on June 27 and June 28, 2025, and will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The New York Islanders hold the first overall pick. USA Hockey National Team Development Program
The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) represents the United States in the IIHF World U18 Championship. Additionally the team plays domestically against opponents in the United States Hockey League (under-17 and under-18 teams), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (under-18 team), and other international tournaments. The program was started in 1996 by USA Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training. There are two teams in the program: under-17 and under-18. Both teams are based in Plymouth, Michigan. World Junior A Challenge
The World Junior A Challenge (WJAC) is an annual under-20 international ice hockey tournament sponsored by Hockey Canada, the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament showcases Junior A level players and is modeled after the IIHF World U20 Championships, which displays the best of all junior-aged hockey players. It has been hosted by Canadian cities every year in CJAHL markets. The Hlinka Gretzky Cup is an annual international under-18 ice hockey tournament administered by Hockey Canada, the Czech Ice Hockey Association, and the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation. Held since 1991, it has been contested under various titles and in various countries, including Japan, Mexico, and Canada. From 1997 through 2017, hosting duties for the event alternated between, and were later split between, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Kurt Zellers
Kurt Zellers (born October 16, 1969) is an American politician who served as speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2011 to 2013 and minority leader from 2009 to 2011. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, he represented the 34B district in Hennepin County. He was a candidate in the 2014 Minnesota gubernatorial election, losing in the Republican primary. Brock Michael Boeser ( ; born February 25, 1997) is an American professional ice hockey currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League (NHL). A top prospect with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the United States Hockey League (USHL), Boeser was selected 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL entry draft by the Canucks and spent the following two seasons with the University of North Dakota.
