Will Perry
William Kiah Perry (born October 11, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Kigali Titans BBC of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). He is a point guard. Early life Perry played for Wake Forest High School, before playing four seasons of college basketball with the Lenoir–Rhyne University. In his senior year, he averaged 17.5 points and 3.7 assists per game, while also setting a new school record for three-point field goals made in a season (110). Perry's performance led Lenoir–Rhyne to their first ever berth in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship. Professional career After graduating from Lenoir–Rhyne, Perry signed with an agent in May 2016, which landed him a contract with CB Zamora in Spain. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Above all, the point guard must understand and accept their coach's game plan; in this way, the position can be compared to a quarterback in American football. They must also be able to adapt to what the defense is allowing and must control the pace of the game. A point guard specializes in certain skills, like other player positions in basketball. Basketball Africa League
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is Africa's premier men's basketball league. The league consists of twelve teams, each qualified through their domestic competition, similar to the format of the UEFA Champions League. The league is a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) with sponsorship from Nike, Air Jordan and Pepsi. Its inaugural season started with the qualifying rounds in October 2019 and the regular season in May 2021. The competition replaces FIBA's Africa Basketball League as the continent's top-tier league. 2022 BAL Season
The 2022 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 2, was the second season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 2 March 2022 and ended with the Finals on 28 May 2022. The group phase was played in the Dakar Arena in Dakar and the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo. The playoffs and finals were played in the BK Arena in Kigali for a second year in a row. Tunisian club US Monastir won the finals to win its first-ever BAL title, after defeating Angolan club Petro de Luanda in the 2022 BAL Finals.
