Wilf Paiement
Wilfrid Paiement, Jr. (; born October 16, 1955) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right wing who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1974 through 1988, for seven different NHL teams. He is the younger brother of former NHL hockey player Rosaire Paiement. Playing career Wilf Paiement was the second overall selection in the first round of the 1974 NHL amateur draft by the Kansas City Scouts. He played two seasons in Kansas City before the team moved to Colorado and became the Colorado Rockies. Paiement was a member of the Canadian team that returned to the World Championship in Austria in 1977 after seven years of absence. During the tournament, frustrated by the lack of success, many members of Team Canada, including Paiement, resorted to violence. Leonard A. Wilf (born 1947) is an American businessman, the president of Garden Homes, the co-owner and vice chairman of the Minnesota Vikings football team, and co-owner of the Nashville SC. Early life Leonard Wilf was born in Göggingen, Germany, the son of Holocaust survivors Harry Wilf and Judith Wilf (died 2006). From the age of nine, he grew up in New Jersey. Herbert Saul Wilf (June 13, 1931 – January 7, 2012) was an American mathematician, specializing in combinatorics and graph theory. He was the Thomas A. Scott Professorship of Mathematics, Thomas A. Scott Professor of Mathematics in Combinatorial Analysis and Computing at the University of Pennsylvania. He wrote numerous books and research papers. Together with Neil Calkin he founded ''The Electronic Journal of Combinatorics'' in 1994 and was its editor-in-chief until 2001. Wilf Wedmann (April 17, 1948 – November 2021) was a Canadian high jumper, who represented his native country at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico. Wilfred Hugh Waller (born 27 July 1877) was a South African amateur football goalkeeper who played for various British clubs around the turn of the 20th century, including a period with Bolton Wanderers where he became the first South African player to appear in the Football League. He also played for Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Watford in the Southern League. Football career Waller was born in South Africa and in 1899 was on a tour of England with a club from his home country.
