The Wiyabal (also Widjabal, possibly from confusion of the letter in the older spelling ''Wijabal'') are an Aboriginal Australian people of the state of New South Wales. They may be a clan of the Bundjalung people. Country Norman Tindale assigned the Widyabal about of territory on the Upper Richmond River, running south from Kyogle to the area in the vicinity of Casino, with their eastern limits at Dunoon. Rhoda Roberts
Rhoda Ann Roberts (born 1960) is an Australian theatre and arts director, arts executive, television presenter, and actor. She was head of Indigenous programming at the Sydney Opera House from 2012 until 2021, among many other roles. She is also a highly respected Aboriginal elder, being afforded the title "Aunty" (Aunty Rhoda). She was a co-founder of the Aboriginal National Theatre Trust in 1987; has written for, produced, and presented work on television; was a producer at the Indigenous media agency Vibe Australia; founded the Festival of the Dreaming in 1997; and was cultural advisor for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. Bundjalung People
The Bundjalung people, also spelled Bunjalung, Badjalang and Bandjalang, are Aboriginal Australians who are the original custodians of a region from around Grafton, New South Wales, Grafton in northern coastal New South Wales to Beaudesert, Queensland, Beaudesert in south-east Queensland. The region is located approximately northeast of Sydney and south of Brisbane, Queensland, Brisbane that now includes the Bundjalung National Park. In the north, Bundjalung Nation shares a border with Yuggera Nation and Barrunggam Nation; to the east the Tasman Sea (Pacific Ocean); to the south Gumbaynggirr (also known as Kumbainggar) Nation; and to the west it borders Ngarabal Nation. Francis Roy "Frank" Roberts (5 March 1945 – 7 February 2011) was an Aboriginal Australian boxer who competed at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics in the welterweight division. "Honest Frank", as he was known, was the first Aboriginal Australian athlete to gain selection, and one of the first Indigenous Australians (along with boxer Adrian Blair and basketballer Michael Ah Matt) to participate in the Olympic Games.
