Whitt Clement
Whittington Whiteside "Whitt" Clement (born November 15, 1947) is a Virginia lawyer and Democratic politician who served seven terms in the Virginia House of Delegates (1988–2002) and also became the Virginia Secretary of Transportation under Governor Mark Warner. Born in Danville, Clement attended the local City of Danville public schools and Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia during the Commonwealth's Massive Resistance crisis. He then received both his undergraduate and legal degrees from the University of Virginia (as well as a distinguished student award in 1970 and a Raven Award) before clerking with U.S. District Judge John A. MacKenzie in Norfolk. Clement then established a private legal practice in Danville. Sir John Alexander Macdonald (January 10 or 11, 1815 – June 6, 1891) was the first prime minister of Canada, serving from 1867 to 1873 and from 1878 to 1891. The dominant figure of Canadian Confederation, he had a political career that spanned almost half a century. Aston Donald McEachin ( ; October 10, 1961 – November 28, 2022) was an American politician and lawyer who served as the U.S. representative for Virginia's 4th congressional district from 2017 until his death in 2022. His district was based in the state capital, Richmond; it included much of the area between Richmond, a portion of its suburbs, and Hampton Roads.
