Whitestarr
Whitestarr is an American rock band from Malibu, California, United States. The band has garnered attention owing to the members' family relationships and to their television series. Lead singer Cisco Adler is the son of the record producer Lou Adler and drummer Alex Orbison is the son of Roy Orbison. Biography Whitestarr was formed in 2000 and signed by Atlantic Records, but was later dropped. The band was virtually unknown until they became featured on the television show ''The Rock Life'' on VH1. The premise of the show is a "rockumentary" format, where cameramen follow the band inside the shows and studio and outside in their personal lives. The series was canceled during its first season due to low ratings. Whitestarr has gained more notoriety for the personal lives and antics of the members than for any commercial success. Alexander Orbison (born May 25, 1975), also known as Orbi, is an American drummer, writer, director, and film producer. He is the president of Still Working Music Group, a publishing company. He is also president and co-founder of Roy's Boys LLC, which manages the legacy of his father, musician Roy Orbison; the organization also includes his brothers, Roy Orbison Jr. and Wesley Orbison. Cisco Sam Adler (born September 6, 1978) is an American musician and record producer. Personal life Cisco is married to fashion model Barbara Stoyanoff; they have one child. He is the son of legendary record and film producer Lou Adler. Career Adler has collaborated extensively with hip-hop artist Shwayze. ''LA Ink'' is an American reality television show on TLC that follows the events of the High Voltage Tattoo (and, later in the series, American Electric) tattoo studios in Los Angeles, California. The Hammond organ is an electric organ invented by Laurens Hammond and John M. Hanert and first manufactured in 1935. Multiple models have been produced, most of which use sliding drawbars to vary sounds. Until 1975, Hammond organs generated sound by creating an electric current from rotating a metal tonewheel near an electromagnetic pickup, and then strengthening the signal with an amplifier to drive a speaker cabinet. The organ is commonly used with the Leslie speaker. Around two million Hammond organs have been manufactured. The Rudolph Wurlitzer Company, usually referred to as simply Wurlitzer, is an American company started in Cincinnati in 1853 by German immigrant (Franz) Rudolph Wurlitzer. The company initially imported stringed, woodwind and brass instruments from Germany for resale in the United States. Wurlitzer enjoyed initial success, largely due to defense contracts to provide musical instruments to the U.S. military. Mickey Avalon (born Yeshe Perl; December 3, 1975) is an American rapper from Hollywood, California. His debut self-titled solo album was released Nov. 7, 2006 on Interscope/Shoot to Kill Records in association with MySpace Records.
