Wheaton Chambers
James Wheaton Chambers (October 13, 1887 – January 31, 1958) was an American actor during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. He appeared in more than 200 films and television series during his career. Early years Chambers was born on October 13, 1887, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to a Philadelphia Main Line family. He graduated from Princeton University in 1909. with a bachelor of arts degree. While there, he was captain of a championship swimming team. In 1909, he went to China to work with marines and soldiers of the Legation Guards as part of Princeton's YMCA work in Peking. After he had to leave because of the Chinese Revolution, he worked for the Associated Press. Career Chambers gained early acting experience with the Henry Duffy Players. ''Medic'' is an American medical drama television series that aired on NBC from September 13, 1954, to August 27, 1956. It was television's first doctor drama to focus attention on medical procedures. Created by its principal writer James E. Moser, ''Medic'' tried to create realism ('' City Hospital'' and ''The Doctor'' had not), which would typify subsequent medical shows. Moser had previously written for the radio shows '' Dragnet'' and '' Dr. Kildare''. Synopsis ''Medic'' episodes were introduced and narrated by Richard Boone, playing Dr. Konrad Styner, who sometimes also appeared in the stories. Michael Curtiz (; born Manó Kaminer; from 1905 Mihály Kertész; ; December 24, 1886 April 10, 1962) was a Hungarian-American film director, recognized as one of the most prolific directors in history.
