For the next few years, Anderson would place hits in the Country top 15 and 20, but wouldn't reach the top 10 again until 1979 with "Isn't it Always Love". The song has been re-recorded numerous times by Anderson, including on her Grammy-nominated 2004 album, '' The Bluegrass Sessions''. Her crossover signature recording, " Rose Garden", was a number one hit internationally. She also charted five number one and 18 top-ten singles on the ''Billboard'' country songs chart. Anderson is regarded as one of country music's most significant performers. Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States, she was raised in California by her mother, Liz Anderson, who was also a country music artist. Daughter Lynn was signed to a recording contract to Chart Records in 1966 after she was heard singing along with her mother at an industry function. Previously she had recorded some demo tapes of her mother's songs and appeared on television in California on regional country music shows. ''What a Man My Man Is'' is a studio album by country singer Lynn Anderson, released in late 1974. The album's title song, " What a Man My Man Is", was very successful, hitting No. 1 on the country charts in the last week of 1974. The song would be her last No. 1 hit and last entry on the pop music Hot 100 chart. It was the only single from the album. The cover shows Anderson in a cowgirl hat and, in the background, another photo of Anderson holding her hat, walking on a hill. This album consisted of 11 tracks, some of which were new songs and some of which were cover versions. Covers include Olivia Newton-John's "I Honestly Love You," Sami Jo's "Tell Me a Lie," and Kris Kristofferson's "Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends." Anderson's mother, Liz Anderson, wrote one song for this album, "I Feel Like a New Man Today."
