Egremont, Cumbria
Egremont is a market town and civil parish in the Cumberland (unitary authority), Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. It is situated just outside the Lake District National Park, south of Whitehaven and on the River Ehen. The parish also includes the villages of Bigrigg and Moor Row. At the 2021 United Kingdom census, 2021 census the built up area had a population of 5,795 and the parish had a population of 7,735. The town lies at the foot of the Uldale valley and Dent (fell), Dent Fell. It has a long industrial heritage including dyeing, weaving and iron ore mining.
