Wesley "Wes" Williams (born March 31, 1968) is a Canadian rapper, singer, record producer, actor, and author. He is known professionally by his stage names Maestro Fresh Wes (formerly Maestro Fresh-Wes) or Maestro as a musician, and is credited by his birth name as an actor. The Dope Poet Society is a hip hop group from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Their music is characterized by clever and sometimes controversial lyrics. ProfessorD.us (formerly Professor D) is the lead vocalist of the group. The group has been active since 1995 and has toured around the world. Governor General's Performing Arts Award
The Governor General's Performing Arts Awards are an annual Canadian award, presented to honour distinguished achievements in Canadian performing arts and culture. Canadian Music Hall Of Fame
The Canadian Music Hall of Fame was established in 1978 by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) to honour Canadian musicians for their lifetime achievements in music. The award presentation is held each year as part of the Juno Award ceremonies. Since 2012, the inductee also performs at the ceremony, almost always as the final performer. A hall facility was opened in Calgary in 2016 located within The National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Desmond Francis, better known by his stage name Infinite, is a Canadian rapper, best known for his contributions to the '' Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike'' soundtrack, and as a member of hip hop group Ghetto Concept. Raised in the Rexdale neighbourhood of Toronto, Infinite is the youngest of three brothers.
