Wenling
Wenling ( Wenling dialect: Ueng-ling Zy ; ) is a coastal county-level city in the municipal region of Taizhou, in southeastern Zhejiang province, China. It borders Luqiao and Huangyan to the north, Yuhuan to the south, Yueqing to the west, looks out to the East China Sea to the east. Wenling locates on 28°22'N, 121°21'E, approximately south of Shanghai. Jiangxia Tidal Power Station is located there as well as a number of e-waste recycling centers which have contributed to soil contamination in the region. Because of its geographical location, Wenling has long suffered from typhoons. On August 12, 2004, Typhoon Rananim, the sixth strongest typhoon in PRC history, landed in Shitang Town, Wenling. The Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou railway or Yong-Tai-Wen railway () is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line in Zhejiang Province, China. It is named after the three prefecture-level cities along route: Ningbo, whose abbreviated Chinese name is ''Yong'', Taizhou and Wenzhou. The line has a total length of 282.4 kilometres and forms part of China's Southeast Coast high-speed rail corridor. Taizhou Rail Transit (), is a metro system in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, China. The system is operated by Taizhou Rail Transit Construction and Development Co., Ltd. In the near term (Phase I), two lines, S1 and S2, are planned; in the long term, lines S3 and S4 are planned. The first phase of the plan was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China in December 2014, and approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission in September 2016.
