Weme (EP)
''Weme'' (위미 "we-me") is the debut extended play by South Korean girl group Weki Meki. It was released on August 8, 2017, by Fantagio Music and distributed by Interpark. The EP consists of six songs, including the title track "I Don't Like Your Girlfriend". The EP peaked at number 7 on the Gaon Album Chart. It has sold over 47,000 physical copies, making it the highest selling album by a girl group that debuted in 2017. Background and release On August 3, 2017, a highlight medley of the album was released. On August 6, a video teaser was released, showing the group transforming from white outfits to colorful ones. The video also showed each member's name. The EP was released through several music portals, including MelOn in South Korea, and iTunes globally. On September 12, a limited "B Version" of the album was released physically in South Korea. Weki Meki
Weki Meki (; abbreviated as WEME or WKMK) was a South Korean girl group formed by Fantagio in 2017. The group consisted of eight members: Suyeon, Elly, Yoojung, Doyeon, Sei, Lua, Rina, and Lucy. During the group's career, they released five EPs, two single albums and one re-issue single album. The group finished their seven year career with the release of their final single "CoinciDestiny" on June 12, 2024. On August 16, 2024, it was announced the group had officially disbanded. Choi Yoo-jung (singer)
Choi Yoo-jung (; born November 12, 1999), known mononymously as Yoojung, is a South Korean singer and actress signed under Fantagio. She debuted as member of I.O.I in May 2016 after achieving third place in the 2016 survival program ''Produce 101''. In January 2017, I.O.I officially disbanded after eleven months of promotion. Following disbandment, she returned to her respective agency and eventually debuted with Weki Meki in August 2017. Choi debuted as a solo artist with the single album ''Sunflower'' in September 2022. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. Founded in 2010, it is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
