''Welcome to Strangeland'' is the twelfth studio album, and the fourth in the "Collabos" series, by rapper Tech N9ne. It was released on November 8, 2011, the rapper's 40th birthday. Background In April 2011, Tech N9ne spoke about the album in an interview with 411mania.com. In the interview he said that the album would strictly feature everyone on the Strange Music label, only expanding to closely affiliated artists such as Irv Da Phenom and Ces Cru. Then in August 2011, Tech announced through Twitter that he was about to begin work on ''Strangeland'' and that producers would include Seven, Jomeezius The Genius, David Sanders II and ¡Mayday!. He also said that the album would most likely feature 18 tracks. On August 11, 2011, Tech N9ne posted an image on Twitter revealing a track called "Kocky" and featuring Kutt Calhoun and Jay Rock. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper and singer. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and his music has been featured in film, television, and interactive media. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. His stage name originated from the TEC-9 semi-automatic firearm, semi-automatic handgun, a name given to him by rapper Black Walt due to his fast-rhyming Chopper (rap), chopper style. Steven T. Shippy, better known by his stage name Prozak, (born August 25, 1977) is an American independent rapper and film director. He is a member of the group Project:Deadman with Mike E. Stephen Lewis Williams (born July 28, 1981), better known by his stage name Stevie Stone, is an American rapper from Columbia, Missouri. He was signed to Tech N9ne's Strange Music record label from 2011 to 2021 and has since founded his own record label Ahdasee Records. Ces Cru
Ces Cru (often stylized as CES Cru) was an American hip-hop group from Kansas City, Missouri, signed to independent record label Strange Music. The duo composed of members Donnie "Godemis" King and Mike "Ubiquitous" Viglione, but has had numerous members throughout the years. Ces Cru released their debut album ''Capture Enemy Soldiers'' in 2004. They went on to release ''Cesphiles, Vol. 1 Codename:irongiant'' (2008) and ''The Playground'' (2009). Krizz Kaliko
Samuel William Christopher Watson (born March 7, 1974), better known by his stage name Krizz Kaliko, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and voice actor. He is a longtime collaborator with fellow hometown native Tech N9ne and was signed to Strange Music from its inception in 1999 up to forming his own label Ear House Inc. in 2021. Career Krizz Kaliko began his musical career in the late 1990s when he began working with local producer IcyRoc Kraven. Young Bleed
Glenn Clifton Jr., also known as Young Bleed is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Biography Young Bleed started rhyming at the age of 9 at home in his native South Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was influenced by his mother, who read poetry to him from a young age, as well as by the music of Run-DMC.
