David Weinrib
David Weinrib (1924–2016) was an American artist most renowned for sculpture and ceramic art. Biography In 1952, with his wife Karen Karnes, Weinrib was a resident potter during the first Crafts Institute at Black Mountain College. Lasting October 15–29, 1952, the workshop also included instruction by Bernard Leach, Shoji Hamada, Dr. Soetsu Yanagi and Marguerite Wildenhain. At this time, Weinrib began experimenting in his practice of art production, creating tiles, "slab" pottery, and sculpted pots. In the summer of 1953, Weinrib and Karnes led the school's second Craft Institute along with Warren MacKenzie, Daniel Rhodes, Peter Voulkos. In fall 1954, Weinrib and Karnes would leave Black Mountain College and relocate to Stony Point, New York to begin working with M. C. Richards, David Tudor, and John Cage at Gate Hill Cooperative. Eric Weinrib (born 21 April 1972) is a filmmaker and TV producer from Plainview, New York, United States. Career Weinrib is a documentary filmmaker whose work has appeared on HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Hulu, AppleTV, Amazon Prime, Tubi, Vice TV and in theaters. Weinrib's Vice TV documentary "Between Musk and Mars" was nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy Award. His hour-long HBO special, "The Paradise Papers," won the New York Press Club Award for business reporting and his Hulu documentary, "Russia's War on Hip-Hop," won the Los Angeles Press Club's National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award. Geddy Lee Weinrib
Geddy Lee Weinrib (; born Gary Lee Weinrib, July 29, 1953) is a Canadian musician, best known as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the rock band Rush. Lee joined the band in September 1968 at the request of his childhood friend Alex Lifeson, replacing original bassist and frontman Jeff Jones. Lee's solo effort, ''My Favourite Headache'', was released in 2000. Lee's style, technique, and skill on the bass have inspired many rock musicians such as Cliff Burton of Metallica; Steve Harris of Iron Maiden; John Myung of Dream Theater; Les Claypool of Primus; Steve Di Giorgio of Sadus, Death and Testament; and Tim Commerford of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Along with his Rush bandmates – guitarist Alex Lifeson and drummer Neil Peart – Lee was made an Officer of the Order of Canada on May 9, 1996. The trio was the first rock band to receive this honor. Leonard Weinrib (April 29, 1935 – June 28, 2006) was an American actor, comedian and writer. He is best known for playing the title role in the children's television show '' H.R. Pufnstuf'', Grimace in McDonaldland commercials, the title role in '' Inch High, Private Eye'', the original voice of Scrappy-Doo on '' Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo'', Hunk and Prince Lotor on '' Voltron'', and Bigmouth on ''The Smurfs''.
