Weatherfield County FC
Weatherfield is a fictional town based on Salford, Greater Manchester, which has been the setting for the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' since its inception in 1960. Much of Weatherfield has been seen by viewers throughout the years, though the primary focus from the viewer's perspective is the eponymous Coronation Street, a cobbled street where many of the programme's characters live. The soap opera is often shot on location around Salford and the neighbouring large city of Manchester, as its filming studios, the Granada Studios complex on Quay Street in Manchester city centre (which closed in 2013) and its replacement set MediaCityUK in Salford Quays (opened in 2014), only house the outdoor sets of Coronation Street and its immediate surrounding streets. Coronation Street Sets
The Set construction, sets of the British ITV (TV network), ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' have undergone four major and several less significant changes since the first broadcast in December 1960. Originally entirely indoors, in 1968 the original wooden set was moved outside, and shortly afterwards reconstructed in brick. In 1982 the set was entirely rebuilt in a new location. The current set, brought into use in 2013, is based at the ITV Trafford Wharf Studios backlot, MediaCityUK in Trafford, Greater Manchester, Trafford. It consists of early 20th-century red brick terraced houses (typical of the type found in towns and cities in the north of England), with a public house, Rovers Return, The Rovers Return, at one end, and a corner shop at the other. Kate Ford
Kate Ford (born 29 December 1976) is a British actress. She is known for her portrayal of Tracy Barlow in the ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'' (2002–2007, 2010–present). Ford was born in Salford, Greater Manchester. She attended Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria and Blackpool and The Fylde College, Lancashire. Tracy Barlow (also Langton, Preston and McDonald) is a Television in the United Kingdom, fictional character from the Television in the United Kingdom, British ITV (TV network), ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. Dennis Tanner
Dennis Tanner is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street, played by Philip Lowrie. The character was created by writer Tony Warren and was introduced in the first episode on 9 December 1960. Lowrie remained in the role for just over a year before being written out unexpectedly in 1962 when a strike by the actor's union Equity prevented new contracts being signed. Although the strike ended a few months later, Lowrie chose not to return until a year later. After a further five years, Lowrie became frustrated with the material his character was getting and decided not to renew his contract. Albert Tatlock is a fictional character on the British ITV television soap opera ''Coronation Street''. Actor Jack Howarth played Albert from 1960 to 1984.
