We In Music
We In Music is a French music group. It is the project of french house artist Raw Man (Romain Séo), who collaborated on releases together primarily with Play Paul (Paul De Homem-Christo), but also Benjamin Diamond (of Stardust (band), Stardust) and Curtis (Fabien Lefrançois). Séo and Homem-Christo also comprise the group Buffalo Bunch, who have also remixed/coordinated with some We In Music tracks. The group have released tracks primarily under the We Rock Music label (founded in 2000 by Raw Man), with some tracks being licensed to Virgin France. They have also released tracks under the name For The Floorz. "Music Sounds Better with You" is the only record by the French house trio Stardust, released on 20 July 1998. Stardust comprised the Daft Punk member Thomas Bangalter, the DJ Alan Braxe, and the vocalist Benjamin Diamond. Stardust formed for a performance at the Rex Club in Paris. They wrote "Music Sounds Better with You" using a guitar riff sampled from the 1981 Chaka Khan song " Fate". It was initially released on Bangalter's Roulé label, followed by a wider release on Virgin Records, with a music video directed by Michel Gondry. "Music Sounds Better with You" debuted at number two on the UK singles chart in August 1998 and stayed there for two weeks, becoming one of the UK's bestselling singles that year. "Chillin'" is a song by French house duo Modjo, written and performed by producer Romain Tranchart and vocalist Yann Destagnol. It was released as the second single from the duo's self-titled debut studio album (2001). Modjo was a French house music duo formed in Paris in 1999 by producer Romain Tranchart (born 9 June 1976) and singer Yann Destagnol (born 14 July 1978). They are best known for their biggest hit, " Lady (Hear Me Tonight)", released in 2000, along with other successful singles such as " Chillin'" and " No More Tears", both released in 2001. Background Born in Paris, Romain Tranchart moved with his family to Algeria and Mexico before settling in Brazil. There, he began learning the guitar, drawing inspiration from jazz classics. Isabel Buarque de Hollanda Gilberto de Oliveira (born May 12, 1966), known as Bebel Gilberto, is an American-born Brazilian people, Brazilian popular singer often associated with bossa nova. She is the daughter of João Gilberto and singer Miúcha. Her uncle is singer/composer Chico Buarque. Early life Gilberto was born in New York City to Brazilian parents, bossa nova pioneer João Gilberto and singer Miúcha, who were briefly living in the city at the time of her birth. The band's classic lineup consisted of Bernadette Cooper, Lorena Porter Shelby, Cheryl Cooley, Robbin Grider, Lynn Malsby, and Joyce "Fenderella" Irby.
