''We Have Issues'' is an American comedy infotainment series which aired on E! in the early fall of 2015. The half-hour weekly show is hosted by comedians Julian McCullough and Annie Lederman, who both discuss the biggest pop culture news of the week through the vector of gossip magazines and websites. Infotainment (a portmanteau of ''information'' and ''entertainment''), also called soft news as a way to distinguish it from serious journalism or hard news, is a type of media, usually television or online, that provides a combination of information and entertainment. The term may be used disparagingly to devalue infotainment or soft news subjects in favor of more serious hard news subjects. Infotainment-based websites and social media apps are gaining traction due to their focused publishing of infotainment content, e.g. BuzzFeed. ''Chelsea Lately'' is an American late night comedy talk show created by Brody Stevens and hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler which was broadcast on E! The show debuted on July 16, 2007, and was produced by Handler's production company, Borderline Amazing Productions. It was taped at Universal Studios Stage 1 in Universal City, California. In American markets, the show aired at 11:00 p.m. Eastern and 8:00 p.m. Pacific time but was recorded at 3:30 p.m. PT, usually the same day. It was a part of Nexstar Media Group's Zap2it television news/listings site. History An Internet and statistical analyst, Robert Seidman had previously worked for IBM and Charles Schwab, and published an online newsletter about the Internet and AOL before founding TV by the Numbers; Bill Gorman had been an AOL executive until 1998, and had read Seidman's column. Friends since the early 1990s when they met near Washington, D.C., both were fond of television, as Gorman loved numbers and Seidman enjoyed statistics relating to it; the subject of television ratings data entered into one of their conversations.
