''We Are Rising'' is the second studio album by Ryan Lott under the Son Lux moniker. It was released through Anticon on June 28, 2011. The album was created as the RPM Challenge in February 2011. Critical reception Gregory Heaney of AllMusic gave the album 4 stars out of 5, stating that the most impressive thing about the album is "its seemingly effortless flow as it drifts from track to track, intuitively guiding listeners through its eerie sonic depths before gently depositing them at the end." Adam Kivel of ''Consequence of Sound'' gave the album a grade of B, calling it "a fully-fleshed, well-orchestrated electronic album." Son Lux
Son Lux is an American experimental band. Originally the solo project and moniker of founding member Ryan Lott, the band's first three albums, '' At War with Walls & Mazes'', '' We Are Rising'' and '' Lanterns'', shaped the band's unique sound through post-rock and electronica influences. With the release of their fourth studio album, '' Bones'', in 2015, Rafiq Bhatia and Ian Chang joined Son Lux, transforming the project into a three-piece band. After the release of their EPs ''Stranger Forms'' and ''Remedy'', the band's fifth album, '' Brighter Wounds'', was released in February 2018. Rob Moose
Rob Moose (born 1982) is an American multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer, conductor, and orchestrator. He primarily plays the violin, viola, and guitar. Early life and education Moose was born in 1982. He was raised in Windsor, Connecticut and learned piano and violin at The Hartt School. He attended the Loomis Chaffee School through 10th grade, before moving with his family to Moorestown, New Jersey. He completed high school at Moorestown Friends School, graduating in 2000. Moose studied violin at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He began a master's program in American studies at Columbia University, but left to join Antony and the Johnsons on tour in 2005. Nathan Johnson (musician)
Nathan Tyler Johnson (born August 4, 1976) is an American film composer, director, and producer. He is best known for his collaborations with his cousin, the director Rian Johnson in scoring the films. Early life Johnson was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Colorado. After living in England in the mid-2000s, Johnson relocated to the East Coast of the U.S., where he launched a live touring project with his band, The Cinematic Underground. His work with the band opened up doors into film composing, and his first musical score was for the award-winning film ''Brick''. Shara Nova (previously Worden) is the lead singer and songwriter for My Brightest Diamond. As a composer she is most recognized for her choral compositions and the baroque chamber opera "You Us We All". Peter Silberman
Peter Silberman (born March 31, 1986) is a Brooklyn-based songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist. He is best known as a member of the rock band The Antlers. In 2017 he released a solo album, ''Impermanence''. Musical career Silberman grew up in Katonah, New York and moved to New York City to attend NYU. Darren Charles King (born June 25, 1982) is an American drummer and percussionist, best known for his association with the band Mutemath until his permanent departure in August 2017.
