"We Are Both" is the second episode of the second season of the American ABC fantasy/drama television series ''Once Upon a Time'', and the show's 24th episode overall, which aired on October 7, 2012. It was written by Jane Espenson and directed by Dean White. In this episode, Regina tries to be a good mother, while flashbacks show her first encounter with Rumpelstiltskin.
