Park West () is a large business park within west Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Over 300 companies, with more than 10,000 employees, are based in the business park. The area also contains some residential development. Location Located inside the M50 motorway (Ireland), M50 orbital motorway in west Dublin, the development comprises several million square metres of office and retail space, along with a hotel, a private hospital, and three apartment complexes. Park West is in the administration of Dublin City Council, and the postal districts of Dublin 10 and Dublin 12, chiefly the latter. The Grand Canal of Ireland, Grand Canal passes through the business park. Art Park West is home to Europe's tallest wind and water mobile sculpture, ''Wave'' by Angela Conner. Angela Conner
Angela Conner FRSS (born 1935) is an English sculptor who works in London. Conner has exhibited internationally and has large scale sculptures in public and private collections around the world. Sculpture In her early life as a sculptor, Conner assisted Barbara Hepworth. She works in a wide range of materials including marble, steel, stone and perspex, with many of her sculptures incorporating water as an integral feature. Conner's kinetic sculptures are concerned with utilizing "natural elements like water, sun, gravity or wind to create mobiles that entice viewers to stop and watch their gentle movement". The movement of Conner's sculptures entirely depend on the natural forces they react with and not electricity. Cherry Orchard, Dublin
Cherry Orchard () is a suburb and townland within South Dublin, Ireland. It is located near Ballyfermot, Inchicore, Drimnagh, Kilmainham, Clondalkin and Lucan. History Origins Originally a largely rural area, Dublin City Council developed social housing in the Ballyfermot and Cherry Orchard areas from the mid-20th century. One of the first large developments in the area, Cherry Orchard Hospital, opened in 1953. Cherry Orchard F.C., a local association football (soccer) club, was formed in 1957. The Roman Catholic parish church, the Church of the Holy Sacrament, opened in the mid-1980s. It is located on Cherry Orchard Avenue. The Red Line () is one of the two lines of Dublin's Luas light rail system. The Red Line runs in an east–west direction through the city centre, north of the River Liffey, before travelling southwest to Tallaght, with a fork to Citywest and Saggart. The Red Line opened on 26 September 2004. Orla de Brí (born 1965), is a contemporary Irish sculptor. Biography Orla de Brí was from Beaumont in Dublin, born in 1965. She attended the Grafton Academy and studied fashion. After that she went on to work designing items for various high-street brands like A Wear.
