The RBC Waterside Centre is a commercial development in the Downtown Halifax, downtown core of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada built by local real estate developer Armour Group. The project involves demolishing six heritage buildings and replacing them with a nine storey retail and office building, clad at ground level with the reconstructed facades of most of the former heritage buildings. The Aba River is a river in southern Nigeria. A tributary of Imo river that runs through the city of Aba, Nigeria. Its headwater is in Okpu-Umuobo area (Isiala-Okpu and Mgboko-Umuette autonomous communities) Osisioma Ngwa LGA in the Ngwa heartland. This Aba River is also known as Waterside. The river is largely ignored despite its uniqueness and importance. Activities of local sand dredges who source sharp sand for construction purposes has been keeping the river flowing. Waterside, East Ayrshire
Waterside is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland, situated about five miles north of Galston on the Craufurdland Water in the Parish of Fenwick. It lies a few miles north of Moscow on the A719 and had a population of 141 in the Census of 2001. History The mill Previously known as Hareshaw Mill this old carding mill dates from 1784 and has gone through a number of uses,Close, Page 126 even hosting a bookshop at one point. The 1856 OS map records the location of the weir, sluice, and lade that diverted and carried water to the mill wheel from the Craufurdland Water. By 1910 the OS maps show that the wollen mill was no longer in use as a mill. Part of the mill became a private dwelling. Although built as a carding mill, Waterside Mill was later also used for weaving. The wheelpit of the mill still survives. Waterside is a hamlet (place), hamlet in the parish of Chesham, in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the town itself. Historically the name referred to the group of dwellings next to the River Chess in Chesham. Waterside consists of a mixture of 19th-century houses following the banks of the river Chess. Waverton is a linear village and civil parish in the Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. Waverton lies on the main A596 road east of a bridge over the River Waver, 2.2 miles south west from Wigton and 14.2 miles from the nearest city, Carlisle. The river is the reason for Waverton's name as well as it coming from the old English word tuǹ, this meaning "An enclosure; a farmstead; a village; an estate". Population There were no major changes in the population of Waverton in the nineteenth century, when population first began to be collected in the Census. Waterside is a festival marketplace on the Elizabeth River in downtown Norfolk, Virginia, opened June 1, 1983. While the Waterside Annex was demolished May 16, 2016, the main portion was renovated and reopened as Waterside District in May 2017. Beginning in the late 1970s, mall developer James W. Rouse and the Rouse Company had developed the festival marketplace concept as an important component to renewing a declining downtown, a seminal catalyst to further development. The concept combined to varying degrees major restaurants, specialty retail shops, food courts and nightlife activities. Like other shopping centers, malls and marketplaces, the Waterside has evolved through numerous business cycles. Waterside Plaza
Waterside Plaza is a residential and business complex located between the FDR Drive and the East River from 25th to 30th streets in the Kips Bay section of Manhattan, New York City. It was formerly a Mitchell-Lama Housing Program-funded rental project. The apartment buildings, as well as the neighboring United Nations International School, were constructed on top of platforms over the East River. Waterside Plaza was constructed alongside a segment of the FDR Drive that was built on landfill brought to the United States from England. Developed by Richard Ravitch, the first apartment buildings opened in 1973 and the complex was completed the following year. The housing development received the Construction Achievement Project of the Year Award from the Metropolitan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1974.
