Waterloo Road is the main road in the Waterloo, London, Waterloo district of London, England straddling the London boroughs, boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. It runs between Westminster Bridge Road close to St George's Circus at the south-east end and Waterloo Bridge across the River Thames towards London's West End of London, West End district at the north-west end. At the northern end near the river are the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Hayward Gallery to the west, the National Film Theatre below the road, and the Royal National Theatre to the east. In earlier times, this was the location of Cuper's Gardens. Just to the south in the middle of a large roundabout with underground walkways is the British Film Institute (BFI) London IMAX Cinema. Waterloo Road (Chinese: 窩打老道) is one of the principal north-south thoroughfares of Kowloon, Hong Kong. It stretches from Yau Ma Tei to Kowloon Tong. Location The road starts in the west at the intersection with Lai Cheung Road and Ferry Street, Hong Kong, Ferry Street, and runs east past Nathan Road. It then runs on a northeast-southwest alignment through the Yau Ma Tei and Ho Man Tin until the intersection with Princess Margaret Road and Argyle Street. The road then takes another turn and runs north through Kowloon Tong, leading towards the Lion Rock Tunnel. History Waterloo Road was named to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo. It was laid out in the early 20th century. The stretch of the road through Kowloon Tong was built in 1922 as part of the plans to develop the area. This portion of the road was designated as part of Hong Kong's Route 1 (Hong Kong), Route 1 in 1974, and is the only part of Route 1 which features several intersections without grade separation. ... Blackpool South railway station serves the suburban south of Blackpool, Lancashire, England. It is the terminus of the South Fylde Line, around west of by rail, though all services run through from Preston. The station is managed by Northern Trains, which operates all trains serving it. Blackpool South is located around from Waterloo Road tram stop on the Blackpool Tramway. History The station was originally called Waterloo Road when it opened in 1903, at the junction with a newly built express Marton Line direct from Kirkham. The platforms on the coastal "Fylde" line were opened on 14 July 1916 and replaced . It now had four platforms (two for each line at the junction) and soon became a busy station. Jason Crest
Jason Crest (formerly The Good Thing Brigade) were an English psychedelic pop group from Tonbridge, Kent, active from around 1967 to 1969. Despite releasing five singles on Philips between 1967 and 1968 (including a cover version of The Move's "(Here We Go Round) the Lemon Tree"), the band never achieved commercial success and disbanded towards the end of the 1960s when their recording contract with Philips expired. However, the singles "Black Mass", "Turquoise Tandem Cycle", "(Here We Go Round) The Lemon Tree" and "Place in the Sun" have since appeared on the ''Rubble'' collections of British psychedelia and freakbeat, and the band garnered a modest cult following.
