Wasantha Wittachchi
Wasantha Chandrawansa Wittachchi (; 21 December 1959 – 26 February 2025) was a Sri Lankan actor and makeup artist. One of the finest makeup artists in Sri Lanka, Wittachchi made several award winning contributions to the art of makeup in Sinhala drama culture in all three fields of theatre, cinema and television in a career spanned for more than four decades. He is the only makeup artist to have won awards in all three categories: stage, cinema, and teledrama. Early life Wasantha Wittachchi was born on 21 December 1959 in Colombo as the youngest of the family. His father from Bentara was a police officer and mother was a teacher. Vittachchi had four elder sisters and one brother. He completed education from Wellampitiya Sedawatta Siddhartha Central College. Wittachchi was married to his longtime partner Anula Hapugoda.
