Warp Riders
''Warp Riders'' is the third studio album by American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band the Sword. Recorded at Wire Recording in Austin, Texas with producer Matt Bayles, it was released by Kemado Records in August 2010. ''Warp Riders'' was written and recorded as a concept album centered on an original science fiction narrative written by vocalist and guitarist J. D. Cronise, and marks a conscious change in style from doom metal to a more hard rock-influenced sound. The Sword's third album is the first by the band to be produced by someone other than frontman Cronise, who handled production duties on ''Age of Winters'' and ''Gods of the Earth''. It was also the last album to feature original drummer Trivett Wingo, who left the band in October 2010 early into the promotional tour for the record, citing physical and mental exhaustion. The Sword
The Sword is an American heavy metal band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band is composed of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III for most of its tenure. Originally signed to Kemado Records, the group released their debut album '' Age of Winters'' in 2006, the material for which had been largely written by Cronise (who also produced the album) prior to the band's formation. ''Gods of the Earth'' (which was also produced by the band's frontman) was released two years later, giving the group its first entry on the US ''Billboard'' 200 chart when it reached number 102. Warp Riders Tour
The Warp Riders Tour is a 2010–2011 worldwide concert tour by American heavy metal band the Sword. Beginning on October 1, 2010 in the United States, the tour is in promotion of the band's upcoming 2010 third album ''Warp Riders'', released on August 24, 2010. Following the United States leg of the tour, the band joined Soundwave, a travelling music festival, in Australia in 2011. They will then perform an additional 12 shows in Europe. Tidal locking between a pair of co-orbiting astronomical body, astronomical bodies occurs when one of the objects reaches a state where there is no longer any net change in its rotation rate over the course of a complete orbit. Minus The Bear
Minus the Bear are an American indie rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 2001, and comprising members of Botch, Kill Sadie, and Sharks Keep Moving. Their sound has been described as " Pele-esque guitar-taps and electronics with sophisticated time signature composition." Minus the Bear have released six albums and four EPs. The band's final line-up before disbanding in 2018 consisted of Jake Snider (vocals, guitar), Dave Knudson (guitar), Cory Murchy (bass guitar), and Alex Rose (synthesizers, vocals). Isis (sometimes stylized ISIS) was an American post-metal band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997 by guitarist and vocalist Aaron Turner, bassist Jeff Caxide, vocalist and electronic instrumentalist Chris Mereschuk and drummer Aaron Harris (drummer), Aaron Harris. Noisecreep is a hard rock and heavy metal music news and media website based in the United States. The site was created by AOL Music in March 2009. Noisecreep was the fourth genre-specific music website owned by AOL after the rock music website Spinner, country music website TheBoot and hip hop music website TheBoomBox. Noisecreep is also part of AOL's MediaGlow publishing division which was created in January 2009. The site publishes music news and interviews presented in a blog-like format, with an emphasis on lesser-known hard rock and heavy metal bands. Fun Fun Fun Fest (often abbreviated as "FFF" or "F3F") was an annual music and comedy festival held in Austin, Texas, United States. It featured stages that focused specifically on hip-hop / electronica, indie rock, punk / metal, and comedy. Started in 2006, the festival focused on a combination of discovering emerging talent and putting together rarely seen or anticipated reunion performances.
