Warchest Club
''Warchest'' is a box set from the American heavy metal band Megadeth. ''Warchest'' features five discs (4 CD + DVD) and features studio tracks, demos and live recordings of a number of the band's songs from its first ten studio albums and rarities EP. The box set was released on October 9, 2007 by EMI/Capitol Records, and sold around 1,100 copies in the United States in its first week. While the content on discs 1–3 is assorted, disc 4 was recorded live at Wembley Arena, London, England, on October 14, 1990. The "Clash Of The Titans Tour" also featured Suicidal Tendencies, Anthrax and Slayer during the European leg. Disc 5 is a DVD, and features a concert recorded at Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, on September 30, 1992. Megadeth
Megadeth is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine. Known for their technically complex guitar work and musicianship, Megadeth is one of the "big four" of American thrash metal—along with Slayer, Anthrax (American band), Anthrax, and Metallica—and is credited with helping to develop and popularize the genre. Diamond Head are an English heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Stourbridge, West Midlands, in 1976. They were part of the new wave of British heavy metal, new wave of British heavy metal movement and are acknowledged by bands such as Metallica and Megadeth as a significant early influence. Paul Cook
Paul Thomas Cook (born 20 July 1956) is an English musician, best known as the drummer and a founding member of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. He is nicknamed "Cookie" by friends in the punk music scene. Early life and career Cook was raised in Hammersmith and attended the Christopher Wren School, now Phoenix High School, London in White City Estate, Shepherd's Bush, where he met Steve Jones. The pair became friends, and while skipping school, in 1972–1973, Cook and Jones, along with their school friend Wally Nightingale, formed a band, the Strand. Glen Matlock
Glen Matlock (born 27 August 1956) is an English musician, best known for being the bass guitarist in the original line-up of the punk rock band the Sex Pistols. He is credited as a songwriter on 10 of the 12 songs on the Sex Pistols' only officially released studio album, '' Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols'', although he had left the band early in the recording process, credited as bassist and backing vocalist on only one song on the album, " Anarchy in the U.K." However, on the bootleg album '' Spunk'', Matlock played bass on all the songs, which included earlier studio recordings of 10 of the 12 songs that later appeared on the ''Bollocks'' album. Steve Jones (musician)
Stephen Philip Jones (born 3 September 1955) is an English guitarist, best known as a member of the punk band Sex Pistols. Following the split of the Sex Pistols, he formed The Professionals (band), the Professionals with former bandmate Paul Cook. He has released two solo albums, and worked with Johnny Thunders, Iggy Pop, Cheap Trick, Bob Dylan and Thin Lizzy. In 1995, he formed the short-lived supergroup Neurotic Outsiders with members of Guns N' Roses and Duran Duran. He played with Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir's Cyco Miko, which is still an ongoing project. John Joseph Lydon ( ; born 31 January 1956), also known by his former stage name Johnny Rotten, is a British-born singer, songwriter, author, and television personality. A take is a single continuous recorded performance. The term is used in film and music to denote and track the stages of production. "Set the World Afire" is a song by the American thrash metal band Megadeth. It is the second track from their third studio album, '' So Far, So Good... So What!'', which was released in 1988 by Capitol Records. Development "Set the World Afire" was the first song frontman Dave Mustaine wrote after being kicked out of Metallica. Mustaine recounted in a 2009 interview that "The first song that I wrote on my way back from New York was written on the back of a cupcake wrapper, if you can believe that." "Wake Up Dead" is a song by American thrash metal band Megadeth, and was the lead single from their 1986 album '' Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?'', written by Dave Mustaine. It has since become a staple at their concerts, being their sixth most played song.
