WarGames (2003)
WarGames (2003) was a professional wrestling supercard event produced by Major League Wrestling (MLW), which took place on September 19, 2003, at the War Memorial Auditorium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The event was a television taping for '' MLW Underground TV''. It was the first MLW WarGames event. Fourteen matches were contested at the event. The main event was the namesake WarGames match, in which The Funkin' Army (Bill Alfonso, Sabu, Steve Williams, Terry Funk and The Sandman) defeated The Extreme Horsemen (Barry Windham, CW Anderson, PJ Walker, Simon Diamond and Steve Corino). Aside from the WarGames match, the event also featured an eight-man J-Cup USA Tournament to crown the inaugural World Junior Heavyweight Champion. Major League Wrestling (MLW), is an American professional wrestling promotion based in New Rochelle, New York. The promotion was founded in 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by former WWE writer Court Bauer. The promotion markets its product as "Hybrid Wrestling", with its roster featuring a mix of different styles. The promotion originally ran live events between 2002 and 2004, with these events seen on the television series, '' MLW Underground TV''. Peter Joseph "PJ" Polaco (born October 16, 1973) is a retired American professional wrestler, best known for his appearances with Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) under the ring name Justin Credible. He is also known for his earlier stint with the WWF under the ring name Aldo Montoya. Polaco is a one-time world champion, having won the ECW World Heavyweight Championship once. Aerial techniques, also known as "high-flying moves" are maneuvers in professional wrestling using the ring's posts and ropes as aids, in many cases to demonstrate the speed and agility of smaller, nimble and acrobatically inclined wrestlers preferring this style instead of throwing or locking the opponent.
