Zhang Ruoyun (, born 24 August 1988) is a Chinese actor. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 2007. Early life and education Zhang was born in Beijing, on 24 August 1988, to Zhang Jian (), a director and producer. His grandfather is a geologist. At the age of 2, his parents divorced and he lived with his father. He had a strained relationship with his father, who was mainly absent from his childhood due to a busy schedule and Zhang was raised by his grandparents. Their relationship was further damaged when Zhang Jian signed business contracts using his son's name (without the actor's knowledge), causing him to be in debt when the project failed.
