Wand
A wand is a thin, light-weight rod that is held with one hand, and is traditionally made of wood, but may also be made of other materials, such as metal, bone or stone. Long versions of wands are often styled in forms of staves or sceptres, which could have large ornamentation on the top. In modern times, wands are usually associated with stage magic or supernatural magic, but there have been other uses, all stemming from the original meaning as a synonym of rod and virge. A stick that is used for reaching, pointing, drawing in the dirt, and directing other people, is one of the earliest and simplest of tools. History It is possible that wands were used by pre-historic peoples. It is mentioned that 'rods' (as well as rings) were found with Red Lady of Paviland in Britain. It is mentioned in ''Gower – A Guide to Ancient and Historic Monuments on the Gower Peninsula'' that these might have been wands and are depicted as such in a reconstruction drawing of the burial of t ... Owned by Block Communications, the station maintains studios on South Side Drive in Decatur, and its transmitter is located along I-72, between Oreana, Illinois, Oreana and Argenta, Illinois, Argenta. Channel 17 was the first station built in the market, signing on as WTVP on August 16, 1953. Women's Action For New Directions
Women's Action for New Directions or WAND is a volunteer-run progressive non-profit organization in the United States with the objective of "building women's political power to advocate for peace and security". History In the early 1980s, anti-nuclear activist Helen Caldicott founded the Women's Party for Survival which then gathered around a kitchen table in Cambridge, MA, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The group initially aimed to bring more women into the conversation about nuclear weapons. To expand opportunities for women to take action, WAND was founded in 1982 as Women's Action for Nuclear Disarmament. With the help of thousands of volunteers, the group began educating the public and policymakers about the threat of the arms race and potential policy solutions, eventually opening a second office in Washington, D.C. in 1985. WAND was renamed Women's Action for New Directions in 1991 after the end of the Cold War. In 1991, WAND created the Women Legislators' Lobby (WiLL), a nati ... Violet Wand
Erotic electrostimulation (abbreviated erotic e-stim and also known as electrosex) is a sexual practice involving the application of electrical stimulation to the nerves of the body, with particular emphasis on the genitals, using a power source (such as a TENS, EMS, violet wands, or made-for-play units) for purposes of sexual stimulation. Electrostimulation has been associated with BDSM activities, and erotic electrostimulation is an evolution of that practice. Safety Electrostimulation, in general, can cause tissue damage or even death if misused. The most common problems arising from electrostimulation tend to be burns from lack of sufficiently wide surface contact, i.e. bad contact, between the electrode and the skin's surface. Even at relatively low current and voltage, there is also risk of interference with normal heart function (potentially including cardiac arrest), and this risk is higher for those who use an artificial pacemaker or similar device or who have hea ... Prince's Wand
The prince's wand (also known as a penis plug) is a piece of body piercing jewelry. It consists of a hollow tube with a threaded cap at the end. The tube is inserted into the urethra, and a stem is inserted through a Prince Albert piercing and into another threaded hole on the side of the tube. The general shape is similar to a police nightstick. The little side stem holds the tube in place. The threaded cap, often just a ball, can be removed so the wearer can urinate through the hollow tube without having to remove the jewelry (from the Prince Albert piercing). Most prince's wands are held in place by a Prince Albert (PA) piercing, but any urethral piercing can be used, and some wands require no piercing. Prince's wands are somewhat uncommon, expensive to buy and relatively difficult to manufacture or procure. They are most popular among men who enjoy urethral play. Prince's wands require precision measurements of the penis and urethra both flaccid and erect, in addit ... Wand Vibrator
A wand vibrator is a massaging device which is often also used as a vibrator and a sex toy. It consists of a rounded vibrating ball attached to a handle. The vibration is provided by an electric motor in the handle that rotates an unbalanced flywheel mounted either within the vibrating ball connected to the motor via a flexible coupling, or, less effectively, within the handle itself attached directly to the motor shaft. The Hitachi Magic Wand, available since 1968, is the best-known wand vibrator brand, but many other similar devices exist, including the Doxy wand vibrator made in Britain. Operation Wand vibrators can be powered either by batteries or from mains power, with the most powerful devices being typically mains-powered. Many recently designed mains-powered wand vibrators use a plug-in AC adaptor power supply which converts mains voltages down to safer voltage levels. In addition to use in masturbation Masturbation is a form of autoeroticism in which a pers ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The W
''The W'' is the third studio album by American hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. It was released on November 21, 2000, by Loud Records. After their 1997 album ''Wu-Tang Forever'', several of the group's members released solo projects before ''The W'', which has a more rugged, less polished sound than that of most Wu-Tang related albums from that era. The album also features guest appearances from Isaac Hayes, Redman, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and Junior Reid. It is the group's last album to feature Ol' Dirty Bastard before his death in 2004, as he was absent from their next album, '' Iron Flag'' (2001). The album debuted at number five on the ''Billboard'' 200, and number one on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart with 301,000 copies sold in the first week. It produced several singles, which also charted as well. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
