2015 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2015 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 22 November 2015. Elections were held to all 18 District Councils with returning 431 members from directly elected constituencies after all appointed seats had been abolished. A record-breaking 1.4 million voters, or 47 per cent of the registered voters, went to cast their votes. The pro-Beijing camp retained its control of all 18 councils with the Beijing-loyalist party Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) maintained the largest party far ahead of other parties. The Sai Kung District Council () is the district council for the Sai Kung District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 such councils. The Sai Kung District Council currently consists of 31 members, of which the district is divided into 29 constituencies, electing a total of 29 with two ex-officio members who are the Hang Hau and Sai Kung rural committee chairmen. Christine Fong Kwok-shan (, born 28 March 1966) is an engineer and politician in Hong Kong, as well as a former child actress. She is a current member of the Sai Kung District Council. Early life and career Fong was a child actress at ATV in the 1980s. Actor Bowie Wu is her godfather. She got famous from her role, Nezha, in the 1986 TV series ''The Boy Fighter from Heaven'', and is nicknamed after the role. Sai Kung District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China. The district comprises the southern half of the Sai Kung Peninsula, the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in the New Territories and a strip of land to the east of Kowloon. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested.
