The Original (group)
The Original was a house music project created by French DJ Walter Taieb in his studio in New York City. In April 1994, after acquiring a CS2000 Euphonix mixing board for his studio, Taieb invited his friend, the Italian DJ and producer Giuseppe Nuzzo (DJ Pippi) who was the resident DJ of Pacha in Ibiza to come to New York to do a track for the summer. After DJ Pippi's arrival, he played a couple of club tracks to Taieb, that gave the overall direction the recording was to take. For vocals, Taieb invited another friend, New York session vocalist Everett Bradley. "I Love You Baby (Swing Mix)" was the first release on Taieb's label WT Records in 1994 after Mercury Universal passed on their option to release it. The following year, a remix by Dancing Divaz became a hit single titled as "I Luv U Baby", which reached No. 2 in the UK, No. 6 in Scotland, No. 12 in Ireland and No. 25 in the Netherlands. "I Luv U Baby" is the debut single of dance music group the Original, released in the United Kingdom in January 1995. It was written and produced by Walter Taieb and Giuseppe Nuzzo, with vocals performed by Broadway singer Everett Bradley. Upon its first release in the United Kingdom, the song peaked at number 31 in January 1995, but a re-release later that year proved much more successful, reaching the number-two spot. The song also reached number 12 in Ireland and the top 40 in Iceland and the Netherlands. In 1996, "I Luv U Baby" charted in the United States, making it to number 66 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Philip Lasser (born August 4, 1963) is an American composer, pianist, and music theorist. He is a member of the faculty at the Juilliard School in New York City. Career and contributions Lasser was born in New York City and began taking piano lessons at the age of five. At age sixteen, he entered the Ecole d'Arts Americaines in the Palace of Fontainebleau, France. He studied at Harvard University and, following receipt of a Bachelor's degree, he lived in Paris from 1985 to 1988. In 1988 Lasser entered Columbia University for a Master's degree in Composition, then entered Juilliard, receiving a degree in Doctor of Musical Arts. Rolf Reuter
Rolf Reuter (7 October 1926 – 10 September 2007) was a German conductor. Life Reuter was born as son of the composer Fritz Reuter in Leipzig. After studying music at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden he began his career in 1951 as Kapellmeister at the theatre in Eisenach. In 1956 he moved to Meiningen, from there Reuter went to Oper Leipzig as general music director in 1961. From 1978 to 1980 he was chief conductor of the Deutsches Nationaltheater und Staatskapelle Weimar. From 1981 Reuter was General music director of the Komische Oper Berlin, where he remained until 1993.
