Walter Burdick
Walter Burdick (April 23, 1893 – March 7, 1982) was an American farmer and politician. Burdick was born in Viola Township, Olmsted County, Minnesota. He went to the Minneapolis public schools. Burdick lived in Rochester, Minnesota Rochester is a city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the county seat of Olmsted County. Located on rolling bluffs on the Zumbro River's south fork in Southeast Minnesota, the city is the home and birthplace of the renowned Mayo Clinic. Viola Township is a township in Olmsted County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 555 at the 2000 census. The township includes the unincorporated community of Viola. History Viola Township was organized in 1858, and named after Viola, Wisconsin.
