Walt Coleman
Walt Coleman III (born January 16, 1952) is a former American football official who officiated in the National Football League (NFL) from the 1989 season until the end of the 2018 season. He wore uniform number 65. During his final season in 2018, Coleman was the NFL's longest current tenured referee. Officiating career Early years Coleman worked for the Arkansas Activities Association, the governing body for high school athletics in Arkansas, for 14 years before moving up to the college level. His college officiating career included five years in the Southland Conference (Division I-AA) and five years in the Southwest Conference (Division I-A). He was never promoted to referee during his college officiating career since he could not justify heading a crew with his five years experience in each conference. Tuck Rule (football)
The tuck rule was a controversial rule in American football used by the National Football League from 1999 until 2013. It stated: NFL Rule 3, Section 22, Article 2, Note 2. When n offensiveplayer is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble. This is referred to as the tuck rule because the ball leaving the quarterback's hands is considered a forward pass even if the quarterback intends not to pass the ball, but instead continues the forward motion to tuck the ball back into his body. Greg Biekert
Gregory Biekert (born March 14, 1969) is an American football coach and former linebacker. Biekert attended Longs Peak Middle School and Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado, where he lettered in football. He was a standout linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes. After college, he was drafted by the then L.A. Raiders in the seventh round of the 1993 NFL Draft and played in 144 games with 123 starts. He led the Raiders in tackles for six seasons, including four straight years (1998–2001). He recovered the Tom Brady incomplete pass that was called because of the disputed and since overturned Tuck rule in the 2001 AFC divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots which Tom Brady admitted might have been a fumble in May of 2022. Charles Cameron Woodson (born October 7, 1976) is a former American football defensive back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 18 seasons with the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football.
