Wally Voss
Wally Voss (July 25, 1958 – November 29, 1992) was an American bass player. He was the bass player for Fort Lauderdale bands Pearl and later Front Runner, then played live with Yngwie Malmsteen on the Trilogy tour. Later in 1987, he played the bass parts on the '' Out of the Sun'' album from Joey Tafolla. Voss died from Hodgkin's lymphoma on November 29, 1992, at the age of 34. In 1999, bassist Kostas Domenikiotis listed Voss as one of his influences. Hard rock or heavy rock is a heavier subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and Distortion (music), distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the Garage rock, garage, Psychedelic rock, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, the Rolling Stones, Cream (band), Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Roy Vogt (musician)
Roy H. Vogt (1934–1997) was an economist, professor, literary critic and pastor from Steinbach, Manitoba and an important figure in Mennonite literature. Vogt was born in 1934 in Steinbach and pastored First Mennonite Church in Winnipeg where he died in 1997. Economics career Vogt received a PhD. in 1970 and taught economics at the University of Manitoba for many years. He authored a number of textbooks on economics including ''Whose Property? The Deepening Conflict Between Private Property and Democracy in Canada'' and ''Economics: Understanding the Canadian Economy''. In 1998, the University of Manitoba Faculty Association created an annual Roy Vogt Memorial Award named in his honour. Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is a type of lymphoma in which cancer originates from a specific type of white blood cell called lymphocytes, where multinucleated Reed–Sternberg cells (RS cells) are present in the lymph nodes. The condition was named after the English physician Thomas Hodgkin, who first described it in 1832. Symptoms may include fever, night sweats, and weight loss. Often, non-painful enlarged lymph nodes occur in the neck, under the arm, or in the groin. Persons affected may feel tired or be itchy. The two major types of Hodgkin lymphoma are classic Hodgkin lymphoma and nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma. About half of cases of Hodgkin lymphoma are due to Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) and these are generally the classic form. Other risk factors include a family history of the condition and having HIV/AIDS. Joey Tafolla
Joey Tafolla (born 1965) is an American guitarist known for his work with the heavy metal band Jag Panzer and solo instrumental releases. Biography Born in San Diego, California, Tafolla is the son of Rosie Hamlin and Noah Tafolla, the singer and guitarist of Rosie and the Originals, respectively. A member of the heavy metal band Jag Panzer from 1984 to 1986, Tafolla has rejoined the band several times over the years for albums and live concerts. Tafolla joined Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records label soon after leaving Jag Panzer for the first time and released his debut album '' Out of the Sun'' in 1987, which included Tony MacAlpine, Paul Gilbert and Wally Voss.
