Chris "Wally" Feresten (born ) is an American cue card handler and supervisor known for his work on ''Saturday Night Live''. He also does cue cards for ''Late Night with Seth Meyers'' and his private business, Cue Cards by Wally. Early life and education Feresten was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to parents Mary Jo and Michael Feresten. His brother is television writer Spike Feresten. Feresten attended West Bridgewater High School and, later, Syracuse University. In 1987, he moved to Los Angeles. Three years later, he moved to New York City. Career Feresten began working at ''Saturday Night Live'' after his brother, who worked at ''SNL'' as a receptionist at the time, informed him there was a vacancy in the cue card department. Wally Lewis
Walter James Lewis AM (born 1 December 1959) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, and coached in the 1980s and 1990s. He became a commentator for television coverage of the sport. A highly decorated Australian national captain, Lewis is widely regarded as one of the greatest ever players of rugby league. His time as a player and coach was followed by a career as a sports presenter for the Nine Network. Nicknamed The King and also The Emperor of Lang Park, Lewis represented Queensland in thirty-one State of Origin games from 1980 to 1991, and was captain for thirty of them. Willie Lane
William "Willie" or "Wallie" Lane (1883–1920) was a British flat racing jockey. He was the Champion Jockey of 1902, but is most commonly remembered for his feats riding the outstanding Pretty Polly, who in 1904 became only the fifth filly to win the British Fillies Triple Crown. Besides the Triple Crown, she also won the Coronation Stakes, Nassau Stakes and Park Hill Stakes. Other races he won in his career include the St. James's Palace Stakes, Ascot Gold Cup, Norfolk Stakes, Gordon Stakes, Goodwood Cup, Yorkshire Oaks, Gimcrack Stakes and Doncaster Cup. Having achieved the Triple Crown, one of the rarest feats in racing, his career was cut short after a serious fall in a selling race at Lingfield. He died, aged 37, in 1920. Wallace "Wally" Kurth (born July 31, 1958) is an American actor and musician. He is best known for playing the roles of Justin Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives (1987 to 1991, 2009 to present) and Ned Quartermaine on ''General Hospital'' (1991 to 2007, 2013 to present). He has received one Daytime Emmy Awards, Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his work on ''General Hospital'' and three nominations for his work on ''Days of Our Lives''. Wallie Abraham Hurwitz (February 18, 1886 in Joplin, Missouri – January 6, 1958 in Ithaca, New York) was an American mathematician who worked on analysis. Hurwitz graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree and then went to Harvard to do graduate work. He won a Sheldon Traveling Fellowship, which enabled him to study at the University of Göttingen, where he earned a doctoral degree under Hilbert in 1910. In 1912 Hurwitz joined the mathematics faculty of Cornell University, where he remained until he died in 1958 at age seventy-one. His doctoral students include R. H. Cameron and Florence M. Mears. Walter Hirsh (24 March 1936 – 31 December 2024) was a New Zealand educator. He served as Race Relations Conciliator between 1986 and 1989. Early life, education and family Hirsh was born in Mönchengladbach, Germany, on 24 March 1936, the son of Margot (née Jammer) and Ernst Hirsh. In 1938, his family fled Nazi persecution to find a new life in Milton, New Zealand, and he became a naturalised New Zealand citizen in 1946. He was educated at Tokomairiro District High School, Macandrew Intermediate School and Otago Boys' High School in Dunedin. Hirsh began studying for a commerce degree at the University of Otago, and in late 1954 he was awarded a scholarship by the Zionist Council for a year's study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He subsequently studied at Wellington Teachers' College and obtained a Trained Teacher's Certificate in 1958. Wallace Henry Hayward BEM (10 July 1908 – 28 April 2006) was a South African endurance athlete with a 60-year career. He became one of the greatest 100-mile runners in history. He won the Comrades Marathon five times and completed the distance of around 90 km the last time just before his eighty-first birthday. He was born and died in Durban, South Africa. Walter Gould (25 September 1938 – 10 March 2018) was an English professional footballer who played as a right winger in the Football League for Sheffield United, York City and Brighton & Hove Albion. He later played for Durban United and Hellenic in South Africa. Gould arrived on the Stoke City coaching staff at the start of the 1977–78 season to team up with George Eastham who had become manager.
