Walk Time Charlie
Walk Time Charlie is a Tennessee Walking Horse stallion who won his breed's World Grand Championship in 2012. Life and career Walk Time Charlie is a chestnut stallion with a flaxen mane and tail and a star on his forehead. He was foaled on March 15, 2007, at Rolling Acres Farm and Stables, owned by Robert Stannard of Lebanon, Kentucky. His sire was Lined With Cash and his dam was Rebel's Design. He was trained by Chad Baucom and owned by Callicutt, Holland and Kilgore. In 2011 Walk Time Charlie won the Four-Year-Old Stallion Championship in the National Trainer's Show before being injured and having to take 8 months off from showing. Tennessee Walking Horse
The Tennessee Walking Horse or Tennessee Walker is a horse breed, breed of gaited horse known for its unique four-beat running-walk and flashy movement. It was originally Horse breeding, developed as a riding horse on farms and plantations in the American South. It is a popular riding horse due to its calm disposition, smooth gaits and sure-footedness. The Tennessee Walking Horse is often seen in the show ring, but is also popular as a pleasure and trail riding horse using both English riding, English and Western riding, Western equipment. Stallion
A stallion is an adult male horse that has not been gelded ( castrated). Lebanon, Kentucky
Lebanon is a home rule-class city and the county seat of Marion County, Kentucky, in the United States. The population was 6,274 at the 2020 census, up from 5,539 in 2010. Chad Baucom
Chad Baucom (1967–2016) was a Tennessee Walking Horse trainer. He was best known for winning the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration on the stallion Walk Time Charlie. Life Baucom was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, on March 11, 1967, to Wadene and Brice Edwin Baucom. At fifteen years old he took over his family's stable near Monroe, North Carolina and began training and showing Tennessee Walking Horses. While he showed many horses professionally for their owners, he also specialized in teaching children and amateur adults to ride and show horses. In 2010, Baucom rode the horse Star of the Future in the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration and placed second in the World Grand Championship, making him the Reserve World Grand Champion. Baucom was named Trainer of the Year by the Walking Horse Trainers' Association in 2011. Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration
The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration (TWHNC), sometimes known as the Celebration, is the largest horse show for the Tennessee Walking Horse breed, and has been held annually in or near Shelbyville, Tennessee since its inception in 1939. The Celebration was conceived by Henry Davis, a horse trainer who along with several other horsemen, felt the Shelbyville area should have a festival or annual event. Although the Celebration was originally held in Wartrace, Tennessee, it moved to Shelbyville, the seat of Bedford County, a few years later. The Celebration spans 11 days and nights in late August and early September annually, and finishes with the crowning of the World Grand Champion Tennessee Walker on the Saturday night before Labor Day.
