Valhalla
In Norse mythology, Valhalla ( , ; , )Orchard (1997:171–172) is described as a majestic hall located in Asgard and presided over by the god Odin. There were five possible realms the soul could travel to after death. The first was Fólkvangr, ruled by the goddess Freyja. The second was Hel, ruled by Hel, Loki's daughter. The third was that of the goddess Rán. The fourth was the Burial Mound where the dead could live. The fifth and last realm was Valhalla, ruled by Odin and was called the Hall of Heroes. The masses of those killed in combat (known as the einherjar), along with various legendary Germanic heroes and kings, live in Valhalla until Ragnarök, when they will march out of its many doors to fight in aid of Odin against the jötnar. Valhalla was idealized in Viking culture and gave the Scandinavians a widespread cultural belief that there is nothing more glorious than death in battle. 1 (one, unit, unity) is a number, numeral, and glyph. It is the first and smallest positive integer of the infinite sequence of natural numbers. This fundamental property has led to its unique uses in other fields, ranging from science to sports, where it commonly denotes the first, leading, or top thing in a group. 1 is the unit of counting or measurement, a determiner for singular nouns, and a gender-neutral pronoun. Historically, the representation of 1 evolved from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian symbols to the modern Arabic numeral. In mathematics, 1 is the multiplicative identity, meaning that any number multiplied by 1 equals the same number. 1 is by convention not considered a prime number. In digital technology, 1 represents the "on" state in binary code, the foundation of computing. Philosophically, 1 symbolizes the ultimate reality or source of existence in various traditions. Walhalla-orden
Walhalla-orden was a secret society founded in the early part of 1783 in the Sveaborg (today, in Finnish: Suomenlinna) fortress outside Helsinki, Finland by Johan Anders Jägerhorn along with Gustaf Adolf Reuterholm. It is thought to have been instrumental in setting in motion forces that eventually caused Finnish independence. Origins Valhallaorden began as an offshoot of an obscure Swedish quasi-masonic secret society called ''La Constance'', created to bolster loyalty to the Swedish Constitution of 1772. However, the Swedish counterpart withered quickly, while the Valhalla society took root in the Sveaborg fortress. In addition to the originating lodge in Sweden, they had a lodge known as ''The Cabin of the Holy Axel'' based in Turku. Historical context Walhalla-orden was not unique to its period in Sveaborg; quite the contrary, besides a masonic lodge and Walhalla-orden, there were a number of similar societies including a British-inspired secret society of ''kirvesmieh ...

Walhalla IP
Walhalla Idrottsplats (short form Walhalla IP) was a sports stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden with a total capacity of 8,000. It was located near Korsvägen, on the site that currently is the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre. Walhalla IP was in use between 1908 and 1921. History Walhalla IP was built by Örgryte IS in 1908 to replace their old stadium Balders Hage as the Swedish Football Association had banned international football on it. The city deeded land to Örgryte IS for this purpose, which today is used by the Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre, opposite to amusement park Liseberg. The roofed main stand had 1,200 seats, and another 6,800 spectators could be accommodated on terraces around the pitch. The stadium was modelled after Liverpool F.C.'s Anfield. At the time of its opening, Walhalla IP was the most modern stadium in Scandinavia. Hotel Walhalla
The Hotel Walhalla is a listed half-timbered building in the Baroque style, located in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany. The building has functioned as a restaurant since its construction in 1690. Its name is derived from Valhalla, the resting place of fallen warriors in Nordic mythology. Location The Hotel Walhalla is situated on Bierstraße in the Altstadt (old town) area of Osnabrück, in the close proximity of the Osnabrück Town Hall, town hall and market place. History In 1690, bailiff Gerdt Heindrich Meuschen built a three-storey, gable-ended half-timbered house on Bierstraße. The gables along the ridged roof protrude in a similar manner to the second floor. Meuschen had a medallion added above the entrance portal; alongside this are the familial emblems of the building’s constructor and his wife Susanne Gertraud (''née'' von Lengerken). The half-timbered consoles are furnished with carved figures of the Four Evangelists, evangelists Matthew, Mark, Luke and ...

Walhalla (memorial)
The Walhalla () is a hall of fame monument that honours laudable and distinguished people in German history"politicians, sovereigns, scientists and artists of the German tongue";Official Guide booklet, 2002, p. 3 While all new inductees since 1890 have been Germans or German-speakers, several earlier honorees came from outside modern Germany, which had not yet been established when the monument was built. Their inclusion reflects a 19th-century, still evolving, more loosely defined concept of " Germanness", one that would today be seen as conflating the term "German" with the much broader notion of having spoken a Germanic language or being of partial or supposed German ancestry. The Walhalla memorial is named for the '' Valhǫll'' of Norse Paganism. It was conceived in 1807 by Crown Prince Ludwig I of Bavaria in order to support the gathering momentum for the unification of the many German states into the German Empire. Following his accession to the throne of Bavaria, constru ...
